With Spring upon us I have been craving smoothies! Throughout the winter I tried to lean towards more warming foods but now that I feel sunnier days upon us I have been wanting more smoothies and superfoods. I love when I randomly throw a bunch of different things into my blender and it comes out perfect (this is rare) and this vegan protein smoothie recipe I am about to share is my idea of a 'perfect' smoothie. I normally always add greens to a smoothie but the morning I made this I wanted something different!
This vegan protein smoothie is packed with protein, superfoods, berries and nut butter! It's simply perfect for right after a workout or even as a sweet treat to curb junk food cravings.
Anti-inflammatory turmeric, energizing moringa and filling peanut butter and vegan protein make this smoothie a great way to start the day off!
(oh and it's totally the prettiest pink, ever)
P.S: Always use organic berries for smoothies, they are not sprayed with harmful chemicals that non-organic berries absorb!
P.S.S: Have you checked out Minimalist Baker's vegan protein guide? It's a must if you are just starting to use vegan protein powders for smoothies. I personally used Garden of Life's Raw Fit Vanilla for this recipe and highly recommend, I love that it contains ashwaghanda and tastes great!
