My unofficial nickname is Fruit Monster–which should show just how much I love fruit. (My unofficial nickname is Angry Dumpling. But that’s another story). Just ask my boyfriend and he’ll tell you he’s never seen someone who eats fruit like I do. Pretty much all fruits are delicious, especially when they are in season. But THIS fruit is especially beneficial if you are trying to lose weight…

It’s one of my top 3 fruits, blueberries!

According to a study by Texas Woman’s University, polyphenols in blueberries can fight the growth of fat cells, and induce the breakdown of lipids and fats. The study used polyphenols from blueberries, but it is found in all plant foods, just in varying levels of concentration. Blueberries, like other berries, are also low in sugar and calories. Summer is the best time to eat fresh blueberries, so stock up and enjoy!
