Vegan Grilled Tofu & Melon Saslik With Spicy Mustard

July 12, 2019
I developed some kind of fanatic feelings towards particular mustard types. If you haven't tried spicy grill mustard yet, I definitely recommend it. (I got mine in Lidl.) I love this saslik recipe because of the crispy tofu that is still soft in the inside; and the grilled melon is something you might never think of trying out, but worth it. You can round the flavor with adding other fruits and veggies.

Directions

1. Cube the tofu and veggies into large pieces so that they don’t fall off the skewers easily. Mix soy sauce, garlic, mustard and salt in a bowl. Brush the mixture on the tofu cubes and let chill for half an hour.
2. Then Skewer the tofu cubes, melon and peppers onto skewers. If you think it needs more mustard you can brush a little more over the veggies or tofu. Grill on a grill skillet or grill, until tofu has nice grill marks. Turn the skewers around to have grill marks or on at least 2 sides of the tofu.
