No-Bake Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

November 11, 2019
If you are a chocolate and peanut butter fanatic like myself, then this is a recipe you need to try! It is one of the quickest dessert recipes I've ever made and only takes a few ingredients. Not to mention, it keeps for weeks in your freezer. It truly is a win no matter how you slice it. Traditional Reese's Cups are delicious, but unfortunately, they aren't vegan. Luckily I found this quick way to make a whole tray of my favorite treat that can last me a month! That is if I don't end up eating the entire tray in one sitting.

Directions

1. Microwave one cup of peanut butter and pour into a glass mixing bowl.
2. Combine with the flour and maple syrup.
3. Pour this into the tray and smooth it out.
4. Melt one cup of vegan chocolate chips together with the coconut oil.
5. be careful not to overcook the chocolate chips because they could burn.
6. Stir and pour the chocolate mixture on top of the peanut butter mixture.
7. Place in freezer until ready to serve (at least twenty minutes).
8. If you want to add a chocolate layer to the bottom of the bars, simply double the chocolate mixture and place the first batch on the bottom of the tray. Then add the peanut butter mixture and the second chocolate mixture on top.
9. If you do this, though, you may want to chill the bottom layer for ten minutes so it won’t mix with the peanut butter layer when you add them together.
