Vegan Chocolate Mango Smoothie Bowl

Holiday season makes even dedicated healthy eaters want to enjoy a sweet treat. Think outside the box (or the cookie jar) and enjoy this purely decadent treat instead. This unique one is definitely one of my favorite smoothie bowls of all time! The earthy flavor of the pistachios and bitter, deep chocolate flavor of the cocoa powder offset the sweetness of the mangoes and bananas. The flavorful taste isn’t the only thing this smoothie bowl has to offer. The cocoa powder contains flavanols rich in antioxidants, so this bowl makes a great energy boost for breakfast or post-workout.

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk (or another plant milk)
  • 2 tbsp pistachios
  • 1 tbsp organic cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 2 tbsp pistachios
  • 1 tbsp organic cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tbsp shredded coconut

Directions

1. Blend the bananas, mango, coconut milk, and cocoa powder until smooth.
2. Serve in a bowl with the pistachios, shredded coconut, and some extra pieces of frozen mango.
