Banana Peel & Carob Smoothie Bowl (Zero Waste, Delicious!)

December 19, 2019
Yes, you read it correctly—banana peel. Why waste dark, sweet banana peel? When your bananas are perhaps slightly overripe and the skin fully or almost fully dark brown, the skin is soft enough to be added to the blender. It is high in fiber and contains vitamin C, vitamin B6, potassium and magnesium. If you can't compost, this is one way to use your banana peel and avoid sending it to the landfill.
