3 Easy, All Natural and Vegan DIY Beauty Treatments!

vegan beauty treatmentsYour hair’s dry and frizzy from the heat and the humidity, your skin is red and blotchy from the sun. Here are 3 simple, effective, and 100% vegan treatments for your summer beauty problems. What’s more, you probably have all of these on hand right now!

1. Epsom salt bath: I am a huge believer in the power of Epsom salt bath. Dissolve 2 cups of salt in warm water and soak. It’ll help get rid of impurities and bloating, smooth your skin, and also ease muscle aches and pains.

2. Coconut oil: After your Epsom salt bath, treat yourself to some coconut oil, one of the most effective moisturizers. What I really like about using coconut oil is that it’s all natural–no preservatives, plasticizers, or other chemicals lurking in most body lotions. Plus, it smells absolutely divine. I like to rub just 1/2 teaspoon to the ends of my hair to give it an extra dose of nourishment. You can also rub them into your trouble spots like elbows, knees, and heels.

2. Cucumber facial: This is so easy yet effective to soothe your tired and inflamed skin. Slice 1 organic cucumber into 1/16 inch rounds. Just place them on your clean face and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Cucumbers are high in Vitamin C, which brightens uneven tones and sun spots, and keeps your skin elastic by helping collagen production.
