The Best Vegan Brownies

Yes, it's a bold claim—try it for yourself to see! This is my tried and true recipe for vegan brownies. I started off watching a ton of YouTube videos before finding the perfect combination of ingredients. These brownies are both cakey and fudgey, without being overly soft. In short, I think I've found the ultimate brownie recipe!

The Best Vegan Brownies

  • 1 cup Vegan Butter
  • 1 cup Coconut Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2/3 cup Vegan Chocolate Buttons or Chips
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 cup Vegan Butter
  • 1 cup Coconut Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2/3 cup Vegan Chocolate Buttons or Chips
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Essence

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/356°F. Melt the vegan butter in a saucepan over a gentle heat. Make sure it’s hot, but not boiling.
2. You can use the same saucepan, or transfer to a bowl. Add the sugar and stir through until the sugar is melted. Remove from heat.
3. Add the vanilla essence. Stir.
4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and soda. Mix gently to combine.
5. Lastly, fold through the chocolate buttons or chips. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
These brownies are quick and easy—hope you enjoy them! They are a great sweet tweet for the end of year holidays.
