Wednesday Cafe: Maple Brown Sugar Cookie Pup Treats

My two favorite late fall flavors are combined in this recipe that was not created for me but for my pup! Go figure…I suppose it is nice to share and we do love, love, love our pups  so here it is …the recipe that will make your home smell like everything sweet about this season and fill up your fur babies’ bellies with wholesome, delicious ingredients.

Maple Brown Sugar Cookie Pup Treats

3/4 c Organic Whole Wheat or Quinoa Flour

1/4 brown sugar (packed loosely)

1 tsp. sea salt

1/2 c maple syrup

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/4 c water

 

Preheat oven to 400F and grease a pan lightly with vegetable oil

Mix dry ingredients together gently until it is a smooth, uniform powdery substance

Add syrup and mix until you’ve created a dry paste

Add vanilla extract and water and mix until dough is smooth

Drop dough by the teaspoon full onto the greased pan and place in oven for 15 minutes

Carefully remove and let cool completely before serving to pups
