Wednesday Cafe Easy Vanilla Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

October 30, 2013

photo 1Once in a while we all crave something a bit simpler; a simpler life, a simpler job, a simpler dog treat recipe… ahem ahem. This is where I step in! I whipped up these ridiculously easy vanilla, peanut butter dog treats in under 10 minutes today and I let the oven do the rest. They are vegan, organic and easy on your pup’s belly. If you make them extra tiny, kitties might like them too! Enjoy these delicious (yes, I try Wednesday’s treats sometimes, of course just to make sure they are edible…), simple treats vegan-friendly pups of the world!

Bonus: The smell of these treats baking makes the whole house smell like the holidays….never a bad thing.

Easy Vanilla Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

1/2 cup organic whole wheat  flour

1/4 cup organic crunchy peanut butter

2 tbsp. organic maple syrup

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup organic vegetable oil

1/2 tsp. organic vanilla extract

Heat oven to 450F and lightly grease a baking sheet

Mix wet ingredients in a small-medium bowl

Add peanut butter and mix thoroughly

Add flour one tablespoon at a time and mix thoroughly until dough is tough

Scoop teaspoon full rounds onto the baking pans and flatten out a bit (you can use cookie cutters here if you’d like; I bought my dog bone shaped cutters at Michael’s craft store)

Bake for 20-30 minutes or until brown around the edges and crisp on top

Let cool completely before feeding to pup!

Happy Wednesday!
