Stay Stylish While Social Distancing In These WFH-Chic Sustainable Pajamas

March 20, 2020

Even before the coronavirus took over the world, I had already been working from home for more than a year. Since I wasn’t showing up to an office, I found myself wearing the same old comfy outfits every day. So it became crucial for me to find 1) beautiful daytime home outfits and 2) beautiful nighttime outfits to mark a distinction between my work-home life. Changing into a pretty pajama at the end of your work day makes it so much easier to turn off work mode and enjoy your personal time.

These sustainable pajamas are more expensive than mass-market pajamas. But since you wear this every night, you easily make up the cost in investment. Plus, wearing a high-quality, beautiful outfit *just* for my downtime makes me feel well cared-for. It helps me feel polished and confident, even when most of the time it’s just my cats who get to appreciate my nighttime style!

I love the classic Coco Before Chanel feel of this striped set. Also, it’s made of Tencel, a sustainable eucalyptus textile that is my favorite cool, silky, and comfortable favorite for tops and bed sheets alike. It pretty much guarantees a good night of sleep.

This has a vaguely Victorian feel for those of us who secretly (not so secretly) feel like Jane Austen or Jane Eyre. It makes me want to braid my hair for bedtime and take a candle to my nightstand. You know, just the usual 19th century heroine stuff.

I currently have an Only Hearts organic cotton nightshirt, which is just a longer time. I think I would have preferred this version though with pants, in case I feel like not sitting down with a bare bum on my brass dining chair especially during winter. True story.

You can’t go wrong with heathered gray and white piping. And this feels to me like what Peter Pan might have worn to bed—cute in a borrowed-from-the-boys way.

I’ve been a big fan of Amélie’s nighttime lewk since first watching that movie in high school French class. If you agree, then this delicate cami and short combo will give you all the feels.

One thing that we can all use a lot more of right now, is whimsy and humor. Let’s not forget that there is some *fun* left in the world, shall we? These pajamas remind me of a tropical vacation to some palace in India—a bit of sartorial escapism for the present times.

Which one of these sustainable pajamas speak to you?
