Are you making money doing what excites and interests you or have you settled for less? We can stop living the kind of life that makes us fear Mondays and cherish Fridays. Rearrange your life to cherish every day. And yes, we all deserve this and are meant to have this, it is not just for a select group of people. Let’s examine what is stopping you from doing the work you love and enjoying the process of earning money, not just the end result.
1. Beliefs inflicted upon you
How many of your thoughts about what is and is not possible for you stem from the phrases, conversations, and advice you have been hearing since childhood? How much have those discussions affected what you now believe you deserve and is attainable for you? Seek to answer these questions.
Many of the stories that orientate us in our decision making, are not our stories at all, are stories coming from fear, limitation, personal experiences, and struggles of people telling them, and also from a whole different time and reality. Clear your mind off the kind of thinking that cuffs you and places your life into a little box, while there is a whole world of opportunities surrounding it.
2. Security trap
Are you stuck in a security trap, with regards to your work? Where you tell yourself that what you have now is safe, more or less stable, and can keep you alive and well for the time being, thus it makes sense to hold on to it. I have been in that spot for many years, even when I clearly knew that my interests lied elsewhere. I knew about having a bunch of talents that were barely utilized in the work I was doing.
Have you put aside your wishes and desires of something more? Your feeling and intuition telling you that there is more for you out there, that you can do what you love and turn that into your income? This right here is about daring to dream big. If you don’t go there, you will never know. But what about the risky feeling of it?
3. Being too rational about it
There is only one way around the fear or risk: choosing your intuition, heart, soul purpose, and calling over rationality. This world is designed to put restraints, constraints, limitations, and doubt on and within us. Therefore, whenever you approach any life changing decision and consult some people and sources, you will end up with a ton of arguments against it. They will also sound very logical and statistically significant. And it is precisely this mentality that is our main blockage to the life we deserve. It is all about what we believe is possible.
It is never just about calculations, prognosis, analysis, predictions, and research. Whenever all this is not accompanied by belief and excitement, you are making it difficult for it to succeed, on an energetic level. Whilst if you choose to believe in spite of the contradicting evidence, it is much more likely to happen.
We are energy beings, living in the Universe functioning on energy. This is your main currency. Rationality and analytical skills are great, but they are just a fraction of your mind capabilities. Your belief in yourself, you emanating the frequency of excitement, drive, curiosity, accompanied by confidence, patience, calmness, dis-attachment from the outcome—this is the main driver of your wishes and preferences being realized materially. So train yourself to start believing that more is possible for you, and start making moves.
4. Fear of bold moves
Universe rewards bold moves, because this is the best proof that you truly believe in yourself, your potential, and the life you dream of. Just remember, that making these bold moves, you should follow the voice of excitement and passion, not rationality. Whenever you calculate and predict something using logic and information, but you have strong doubt, worry and fear towards it instead of excitement and joy-like emotions and feelings, this seems like not the best move to make. The Universe guides us through these emotions. When we follow the fun, curiosity, natural motivation, our interests, passion, and talents—we receive all the gifts life has in store for us.
It is okay to take some more years to study something new. It is okay to drop out. It is okay to course correct at any moment. It is okay if it takes time for you to get where you want to be. It is not okay to sell yourself short. This article is meant to inspire you and remind you that you can get it sooner, if you start believing and acting now.
5. Discovery of your talents
Some find out their talent in childhood, others in their 30s, some in their 50s, 60s, there is no limit. I believe that following practices that open up your mind and heart, clear up your energetics, teach you how to maintain, amplify, and use your energy within, bring you closer to realization of who you really are and what you are meant to be doing on this plane of existence. It is also wise to revisit your childhood interests and dreams.
I have found out and dared to start making money doing what I love in my 30s. As with all the beautiful things that have happened to me, I started with daring to imagine and visualize the best outcome possible. Usually, just several weeks or months after that, I suddenly find myself in whole new circumstances, remember that little visualization exercise I have done, and realize I am living that now. What will you visualize?
Answer these questions…
By the way, when was the last time you asked yourself these?
- What is the perfect way of making money for you?
- How does your perfect working day look like?
- What kind of work you would love to do, that would not feel like a chore?
- What are your main interests, and what kind of work is possible to do with them?
- How much money you prefer to be making?
- What do you value the most in life, and what do you need to enjoy it? (define what is good, big, and great for you, not the society you are in)
Answer these questions, not from the point of rationality but from the place of dreaming big. Dare to go there. I would love to know that when you start answering these questions regularly, you patterns, choices, conversations will begin to change. Because you are coming out of that box limiting you to what you can become and do with your life. I would love to know that your reality will begin to align with your wishful thinking, and the Universe will begin opening up opportunities, pathways, connections that were waiting all along for you to be ready to receive them with your open mind and confidence in you deserving the best and much more than you can imagine.
