Want to rock a toned physique (and look like a “dangerous woman”) à la Ariana Grande? Add these super effective moves from this Ariana Grande weight loss workout to your regimen!
Ariana Grande is not only one of the biggest pop princesses, she is a health-conscious role model who owes her fit physique and performance endurance to being vegan and having a regular workout routine. Ariana says: “I try and live a healthy lifestyle; eating right, exercise, and sleep are all so important. I try and stay really active all the time. I like to hike when I can, and being on stage is a great workout.”
Ariana loves to stay active outdoors along with working out with her personal trainer, Harley Pasternak. Harley revealed Ariana’s top three exercise moves, and the best part is, they’re totally doable! He suggests doing one exercise a day and five sets of 30 reps of each move.
1. Reverse Lunge- Strengthen and tone your butt and legs. Stand with your feet in parallel, hip distance apart. Step one foot back and bend the knee until it is just above the ground. Your front thigh should be parallel to the ground and your back foot should be far enough so that your weight stays on the front heel, not the toe. Your front knee should not pass your toes. Push off the front heel to come back to center. Repeat on the other leg to complete one rep. Continue alternating lunges in reverse.
2. Pike Plank- Challenge your entire core and boost your back and ab strength with this move. Get into a plank position on your forearms. Keep your neck in line with your spine as your gaze stays on the ground. Use your abs to scoop your navel in and pull your hips up. As you do this, drop your head down and gaze towards your feet. Return to your plank position and repeat.
3. Superman- This move works all the muscles in the backside of your body, especially your erector spinae, the muscles on either side of your spine. Lie face down with your arms and legs extended. Squeeze your glutes and press your hips into the ground as you lift your thighs and chest up. Keep your arms in line with your ears. Pull your abs in to prevent your spine from crunching and protect your lower back. Hold for 2-3 seconds before lowering back down.
