Carrots: 1 medium carrot has over 200% of your daily Vitamin A needs. Vitamin A is one of the most anti-aging, skin-repairing nutrients out there (which is why I put A-rich oils on my face). When ingested, it does other important things like keep your eyes healthy.
Grapefruit: one grapefruit meets just about 100% of your Vitamin C needs for the day, keeping your immune system strong. It’s also one of the most polyphenol-rich fruits around, giving you antioxidant boost. Finally, grapefruit relieves stress and depression and fills you with a sense of optimism with its bright citrus scent.
Ginger: It’s warming, healing, and anti-inflammatory. It’s also good for your digestion, reduces anxiety and calms.
These three main flavors work so well together into one vibrant, fragrant and uplifting flavor! I added maca powder for extra protein, magnesium, iron and zinc. This smoothie is as delicious as it is gorgeous–enjoy!
Pink Grapefruit Ginger Smoothie
1. Peel the grapefruit and remove all the bitter inner skin with your hands, saving just the segments.
2. Put all the ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
