As a serious beauty junkie, I am always on the hunt for new brands to try out.  Not too long ago, the bath and cosmetics brand, Ambiguous You caught my eye, and I’ve been hooked since trying out my first product!

From bath goodies to skincare to mineral makeup, Ambiguous You has everything a beauty enthusiast could ever want (and then some!).  A 100% vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, all natural, and mostly organic product line is not always easy to find, which is what makes this company so special.  Amber Buckley, founder and owner of Ambiguous You, caters to the wants and needs of her customers and strives to create the highest quality products that will suit each individual’s unique lifestyle.

Here are some of my favorite Ambiguous You products!

(I know you’ll love them, too!)

The Products:

All products are available on the Ambiguous You Etsy site

1. Be Beautiful Face Cream with SPF 20 ($15.50)Ambiguous You Be Beautiful Vegan Face Cream

Why I love it:  Finding the perfect facial moisturizer is no easy task.  As someone with extremely sensitive skin, I am always wary of trying new products as I fear the potentially painful and irritating results.  This face cream, however, is so soothing on my troubled skin and is phenomenally moisturizing.  The area around my eyes is prone to dryness and redness, and this cream healed those areas marvelously.

Who I recommend it for: All skin types! This cream is not too moisturizing that it drives my oily skin over the edge, nor is it too light.  I have acne-prone skin, and this is one of the only face creams that has not caused my acne to become inflamed.

Ingredients: Zinc Oxide, Mango Butter, Grapeseed Oil, Shea Butter, Almond Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Cocoa Butter, Lavender Oil, Candelilla Wax, Apricot Oil & Vitamin E

2. Grains Scrub Face Cleanser ($11.00)Ambiguous You Grains Scrub Vegan Face Cleanser

Why I love it: With my acne-prone, sensitive skin, I am always on the hunt for the miracle facial cleanser that will finally solve all of my skincare woes.  Exfoliating is the key to having beautiful, glowing skin, but sometimes facial scrubs can be a little too rough.  This cleanser has the perfect balance between exfoliating and moisturizing qualities.  It begins as a dry grainy powder, which you then mix with water until it forms a paste. The paste will exfoliate your skin without irritating it, which has been heavenly when it comes to fighting my acne.  I recommend adding this to your normal skincare routine a few times a week to help you get glowing!

Who I recommend it for: Acne prone & dry skin! This cleanser will help clear away the rough, flaky patches often associated with dry skin, while also clearing out any excess dirt and oil from your pores.

Ingredients: Lavender, Rose, Calendula, Oats, Almonds, Kaolin Clay, & Poppy Seeds

3. Sugar Body Scrub ($5.00 for 2oz & $8.00 for 4oz)Ambiguous You Sugar Vegan Body Scrub

Why I love it: Since my childhood, I have suffered from Keratosis Pilaris (KP), and have thus been looking for ways to get the soft, smooth skin I was unfortunately not given by nature.  A plethora of creams and scrubs are marketed towards KP sufferers, but none of them have ever quite worked for me.  Though this scrub is not made for those who suffer from KP, I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who also has this skin condition.  The texture of this scrub is thick, yet also very moisturizing.  Not only does it help slough off the rough patches on my upper arms, but it also leaves them feeling soft and moisturized.  This scrub is definitely going to become a permanent staple in my beauty routine.

Who I recommend it for: Those with Keratosis Pilaris & rough, dry skin.  Even the smoothest of skin can use a little help sometimes, so I recommend this to anyone who is interested in adding a great exfoliator to their beauty routine, as well as any of my fellow KP sufferers looking for a natural way to manage their KP without breaking the bank.

Ingredients: Turbinado Sugar, Coconut Oil, Jasmine Essential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Neroli Essential Oil,

4. Avocado Cuticle Cream ($5.00)Ambiguous You Avocado Vegan Cuticle Cream

Why I love it: One use of this cuticle cream, and you will be hooked! With fall and winter fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about great moisturizer to heal dry, cracked skin.  It provides the perfect amount of moisture that will leave your skin looking refreshed without being too oily.  Bonus: It can be used to add shine and moisture to dry, brittle hair! Rub a little on the ends of your hair to provide instant moisture to your stressed out tresses.

Who I recommend it for: Everyone! We all work with our hands in some way, and with changing weather ahead, it is never a bad idea to keep this cuticle cream on hand.  Plus, it’s small enough to fit in your purse for on-the-go fixes!

Ingredients: Avocado Butter, Avocado Oil, Vitamin E, Tea Tree Oil, Grapefruit Oil

5. Peachy Glow Mineral Blush ($12.00)Ambiguous You Peach Glow Vegan Mineral Blush

Why I love it: This mineral blush is light and shimmery and perfect for days when you want to add a little brightness to your complexion.  I prefer a peach-toned blush on my fair olive skin, but if peach is not for you, check out the other colors Ambiguous You has available.  You won’t be disappointed!

Who I recommend it for: Mineral make-up fans and those with normal, oily/combination skin.  Powder and mineral blushes work best on skin that isn’t prone to dryness (cream blushes and bronzers are well-suited for those with dry skin).  If you love to add a little extra sparkle to your skin for a sweet, glow-y effect, this blush is for you!

Ingredients: Sericite, Tapioca Powder, Micas

6. Mineral Eye Shadow ($5.00Ambiguous You Peridot Gluten Free Mineral Eye Shadow

Why I love it: It can often be difficult to find a mineral eye shadow that is well-pigmented and blendable; often their coverage is too sparse and the shadow too powdery to create a smooth look.  Ambiguous You’s mineral eye shadows are far superior to many I have tried in the past.  The shades I tried (Ruby, Peridot, and Goldstone) created a flawless application and were very easy to work with.  The slight shimmer the shadows have adds an elegance that a lot of chalky mineral eye shadows are lacking.

Who I recommend it for: Everyone! With a plethora of beautiful shades, there is bound to be an eye shadow that is perfect for you! All of the mineral eye shadows are also gluten-free!

Ingredients: Sericite and Micas

7. Vegan Lip Balm ($3.00)

Why I love it: If you love lipstick as much as I do, you know that wearing the right lip balm can make or break your look.  This lip balm (also available in an Ultimate Healing version!) is one of the best vegan lip balms I have ever tried.  Lip care products with coconut oil are highly effective, and this lip balm is proof of it! Apply it under your favorite lipstick or whenever your lips need a boost of moisture.

Who I recommend it for: The regular version is suitable for everyone, and the Ultimate Healing version will be perfect for those in drier and colder climates.  I plan on keeping both on hand so that when winter hits, I’m fully prepared.

Ingredients: Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Candellila Wax, Lavender Butter, Tea Tree Essential Oil

8. Rose Water Toner Spray ($5.50)Ambiguous You Natural Rose Water Toner

Why I love it: Rose water is my absolute favorite facial toner.  It is refreshing, soothing, and effective.  This spray has all of the lovely benefits of rose water in a convenient spray form!  Just simply spritz onto your face at the end of the day or any time you want your skin to be refreshed.

Who I recommend it for: Everyone, but especially those with easily irritated and sensitive skin.  Rose water is an anti-inflammatory, so it will soothe your red and inflamed skin.  The smell of roses is also said to give you a sense of well-being, while also easing any anxiety you might be feeling.

Ingredients: Distilled rose water
